Hazard 4 Evac Plan-B Sling Pack Review

The Hazard 4 Evac Plan-B sling pack comes with many great features that make it an efficient, lightweight, yet heavy duty pack for all kinds of situations.

Here are our pros:

  • There is great customization on this pack thanks to its full modular accessory strap (MOLLE) coverage
  • There are padded movable internal dividers
  • There are compression straps to secure your items and to give a compact appearance to the pack
  • The pack is quite big and it fits bulky items also
  • This is a fully hydration bladder compatible pack
  • There is one large pocket for easy access from chest
  • The back is well padded and comfortable
  • There is good ventilation on the pack
  • There are no external air-mesh materials
  • The pack is made of strong DuPont 1000 D Cordura
  • The pack has a slim design and is easy to handle when in a crowd or in a hurry
  • You can easily store the pack due to its shape and size
  • The main padded strap may be worn on the left or the wright and the padding aligns in the right body-hugging direction
  • You can easily rotate the sling to the chest
  • The pockets are designed to face you for on-the-go access
  • There is 3D thermos molded back panel for great support
  • There is small top zipper to pass long objects (antennas, barrels)
  • The 3D air mesh under strap gives great ventilation and comfort
  • There is side elastic topped pockets for you to store knives, water bottles and so on
  • This may be wrapped as a gift also
  • The tricot lining is efficient
  • It’s very easy to flip around the pack
  • This is a range bag and a hunting bag just as well
  • The pack feels lightweight, even when full
  • There are lots of Molle which means more items to store, in an organized way
  • The stitching is great and so is the craftsmanship
  • There are two carry handles on top and bottom
  • The Velcro divider in the main compartment is handy and efficient
  • You can roll up the extra straps with Velcro straps

Along with the good side, comes inevitably the negative, but there aren’t many cons:

  • This pack can’t store a rifle (check out the Carbine model instead)
  • The large compartment on the pack is a bit difficult to get in and out
  • The inner compartment could use more organization options
  • There is much of wasted space on this
  • The zippers don’t seem to be as long lasting as the pack
  • The buckles are useful, but the rattle is annoying
  • The storm flaps on zipper doesn’t cover the whole zipper

But, all in all, this is one heavy duty, lightweight and comfortable sling pack that gets you through the harshest of missions or activities.
